Referrals

Referrals can be used in 2 ways: Within your hub to an advisor suitable to support the lead, or to an external hub through the resource compass. When referring to an external hub, this becomes a lead and is populated in the Home Leads Dashboard under Leads from Referrals.

Referring Lead to a Business Advisor Within the Hub

To internally refer a Lead to a business advisor within the Hub, the Lead must first be accepted. Upon accepting the Lead, when clicking the Refer Contact button, the moderator can select the "Individual" tab under "Refer to."

In the "Select a Hub Member" dropdown menu, the moderator can select the advisor best suited to support the business owner Lead. When referring, previous form responses from that Lead can be attached under "Attach a Form Response" dropdown menu. The Referral creator can also attach additional files using the blue icon at the bottom.

Once a Referral has been sent, it can be found in the Referrals tool listed under "Created from my hub." As this is an internal Referral, the referred Lead does not appear in the Home Leads dashboard and is only found in the Referrals tool. The matched advisor can then review the Lead details, download the form answers (if attached to the Referral), and act accordingly.

 

Referring Leads to Another Hub through the Resource Compass

The moderator can refer a Lead to another Hub through their Resource Compass before or after accepting a Lead. Upon clicking the Refer Contact button, the moderator can select the "SCALE Provider" tab under "Refer to."

In the "Pick a Service Provider" dropdown menu, the moderator can select the external resource listing best suited to support the business owner Lead. Tip: By clicking the blue icon next to "Pick a Service Provider" dropdown menu, the moderator can browse through external resource listings via an interactive map and filters.

Once a referral has been sent, it can be found in the Referrals Tool listed under "Created from my hub." In the Hub receiving the Referral, the referred Lead will appear in the Lead Management Table as a new Lead listed under "From Referrals." 

New and overdue badges will apply. The moderator can then review the lead details, download the form answers (if attached to the Referral), and action accordingly. The Lead can also be found in the Referrals tool listed under "Received from Other Hubs."

Referrals FAQs

If I accept a Lead and provide business advising, can I refer the lead to an external resource listing afterwards?

  • Yes! Referring lead to another Hub through the Resource Compass can be done before or after accepting a Lead. Hence you can accept the Lead, provide support, and later refer them to an external resource.

I received a Lead through a referral but I don't think our organization is a good fit, can I refer it to another external resource listing instead?

  • Yes! Referrals can be made an infinite number of times. Simply refer the Lead without accepting them to ensure the business owner won't be added to your Hub’s CRM.

I received a Lead through a referral and provided business advising. I think this Lead would benefit from extra support from an external resource listing. Can I refer them again even though I have already supported this Lead?

  • Yes! Referrals can be made an infinite number of times!
