How do I use the campaigns tool?
The campaigns tool allows you to create targeted communication groups within your community hub. This enables you to send personalized messages to specific segments of your community, rather than communicating with your entire hub at once.
Accessing the Campaigns Tool
To get started, look for the "Campaigns" option in the left-hand menu. Clicking on this will take you to the Campaigns Dashboard.
The Campaigns Dashboard provides an overview of any communication groups you've previously created, including details like the group name, date created, total members, and when the last message was sent. You'll also see an "Action" column with options to manage each group.
Adding Users to a Group
To build out a new communication group, click the "Add Users" button in the Action column. This will allow you to either type in individual email addresses or upload a CSV file to add multiple users at once.
Once you've added all the desired members, the total number will be reflected on the Campaigns Dashboard.
Sending a Message to a Group
When you're ready to communicate with a group, click the "Message" button in the Action column. This will open the message composer, where you can:
- Enter a subject line
- Compose the message content
- Attach a survey (if you need feedback or responses)
- Schedule the message to send immediately or at a future date/time
- Set the message to recur on a specific cadence
After filling out the message details, click "Send" to deliver it to the group.
Use Cases for Campaigns
Some examples of how you might utilize the Campaigns tool:
- Sending updates to your community's board members or advisory council
- Communicating with grantees or sponsored program participants
- Reaching out to specific industry partners or collaborators
- Gathering feedback from a pilot group before broadcasting to your full hub
Remember, the Campaigns tool provides a way to have more personalized, segmented conversations with the different groups within your Startup Space community. Leverage it to improve the relevance and impact of your communications.
