Does my profile location matter?

This article explains the importance of location settings in the Startup Space platform and how to update them.

Location is an integral part of Startup Space and drives most of the features on the platform. If you are unable to access a specific feature or see information you know has been built out on Startup Space, first start by ensuring that your location is within the geographical range set by the hub. You can do this by following the steps indicated below: 
  1. Sign into your Startup Space account.
  2. Navigate to your profile by clicking on your name in the top right corner.
  3. Click the little pencil icon in the top right corner.
  4. Under 'Find Your City' enter your new location. 

Alternatively, you can select "Hub" from the upper left corner.

From the pop-up, click "Change Hub," and then check the box to set your profile location to match the location of the hub.

Click "Submit" to save your changes. 
 
You may see new results within your home page suggested content, Resource Compass, Events, and other features based on your updated location.
