Referring Leads to Another Personal Email Address or Individual
This article guides the awardees to refer a lead to someone outside the SCALE network or to an individual using the Startup Space Referral tool.
Before you begin, review the lead form submission from the How can we help you? form. If the request is for a service you do not provide and needs to go to someone outside the SCALE network or to an individual, follow these steps.

Log in to your Hub and switch to Moderator View.

In the upper right corner, click the gear icon and select View as Moderator.

From the Home page, open the Leads section and click the lead you want to review.

If the service is outside your offerings and you need to refer to an individual instead of a TA provider within the SCALE network, click Accept and then Refer Contact.

On the Refer Contact screen, confirm the pre-filled Referred Contact field and enter the business name and program ID.

In Refer To, select Individual.

In Select Member, ignore the list of hub members and manually enter the email address of the recipient. This will automatically change to an email address field.

Fill in the First Name and Last Name fields, then click Save.

In Attach a Form Response, select the original lead form submission.

Add a note in the Note field to provide context for the recipient.

Click Send Referral to complete the process.
