This document is designed to guide applicants through the technical aspects of completing the TAP application. Applications can often be lengthy and detailed, EIC has implemented several support features to make the process more manageable for your organization.
In this guide, applicants will find instructions on how to use the application feature, along with tips to navigate common nuances. Key features include the ability to save your progress as you go, and the option to add collaborators, allowing multiple organization members to contribute to the application simultaneously.
We encourage you to review this guide before starting your application to ensure a smooth and efficient submission process.
Important Information
Receiving Application
The application form will be provided by CalOSBA as part of their official announcement. Please ensure that you complete and submit your application by August 8, 2025.
Avoid Losing your Work
Refreshing your browser will load a new, blank application form, and any unsaved information will be lost.
To avoid this:
- Do not refresh the page unless you have clicked “Save Progress” / “Complete”
Please coordinate with your team and ensure that only one person is editing the application at a time. The application does not update in real time, so if multiple members of your organization (eg. collaborators) make changes simultaneously, saving progress may overwrite others’ work and result in lost data.
Saving Progress
Applicants can save your in-progress application at any time by using the “Save Progress” button at the bottom of the screen. This allows applicants to return and complete the application at a later time, without losing any work.
How to Save Progress
- Click the white “Save Progress” button at the bottom of the application
- Enter a Draft Name when prompted
- An automated email will be sent to you with a link to login to your Startup Space account to access your saved draft.
